Oh my goodness.. When I was driving the other day, I tuned into Triple M.. and I heard the song 'CHEAP WINE!! by 'Cold Chisel' (Aussie band.. btw if you've heard this song before, pleaseeeeeee comment :P)

 

....... eyes started watering when the bridge came.. really dont know why .. the song just brought back SO many memories of my childhood. The carefree days where all I worried about was how to beat my cousin in this computer game that we played, what the best way was of cleaning the dust on your laptop screen, whether or not my parents would get me a cat/dog that I always wanted.

Havent been bothered updating.. few things on my mind recently that have left my head spinning and headaches, etc.

 

Just sometimes you make one little accidental mistake, and things that you really care about in life just change and change and sway.. happens all the time.

 

But I guess every beautiful moment in my life has also been imperfect, and everything that has been painful and hurt has been a better understanding of and shown me what beauty and truth really are. 

 

This song really speaks to me, and yes I know when other people put lyrics of a song on their blog i just instantly scroll down to the bit after, but if you want, read this, and check the song out. Yeah, since I do listen to ALOT of music, and this is probably one of those songs that speak to me the most.. Another fav.

 

 

Alrights, so yeah, been lazy as usual, but I think I'll update this thing tonight. So yep, some goals this year for me are:

 

1. Advance further in my drumming.

2. Bulk up a little bit ;). (lol)

 

Ok, so yep been drumming quite heavily the past week, and I plan to atleast practice everyday, for a few hours.. if not that, train my drum rolls, technique, etc. For some stupidly odd reason however, I always have this crazy craving to want to drum at weird hours at night.. sometimes 10pm, sometimes 1am. Weird. I think its because I listen to alot of musci during these times, and yeah .. it just sorta makes you want to start playing. A band, or person that I've been listening to alot recently, is Travis Barker.. Aka Blink 182 / Boxcar Racer / Plus 44's drummer. Well now, the first thing that might come to your mind when you hear Blink 182 is... well.. 'trash band' or something. Lemme tell you.. Travis Barker's drumming is amazingly good. I dare say he is becoming one of the most influential drummers in Punk/Alternative Rock in the present day. I've uploaded a song which shows some of his skill demonstrated in a song, live - oh and disregard what they're talking about after the song ends.. its just stupid live stuff they talk about so all their groupie girl fans will scream and yell more.. he says something about his weiner being bent in the wrong way or something.. *rolls eyes*.

So, for the next few months I'll be focusing on Punk/Alternative Rock drumming and technique.. aka 'fast beats BANG ABANG BAGNAGBAGNAGBAGANNG with no need to think type drumming' .. sorta. Then .. I dunno, probably Jazz or something.

 

In regards to the 'bulk up a little bit' thing.. Yeah just starting to eat more meals per day, and do some lifting of dumbells/pushups/situps.. if you got any tips.. Feel free to msg me on msn, or just comment in here .. but yeah haven't really told many people about this .. 'blog' yet. And yeah, the 2nd point is just about doing more exercise, eating more, and not being such a skinny typical.. well.. asian =)

 

Anyways, yeah yesterday I went clubbing with my friends, cos one of my friends is deferring and going to stay at Malaysia for a year.. so it was sort of like a farewell thing. Got home at.. 5am? Slept and woke up at 8am.. 3 hours sleep. Then went to church.. nearly fell asleep at the sermon, but luckily for me the speaker was very erratic in his voice.. so sometimes he'd shout suddenly, and other times he'd be very mellow. Exactly what I needed. Drifting off .. slowly.. zzz .. "SO PREPARE.. BE ALARMED" *huh?.. wha? OH! LOOKS UP! yeah! ok! be alarmed! prepare! yeah!* Anyways he talked about mission, and preparing your heart for it. After that, hung around for a little while, and decided to visit a friend whom has a terribly ongoing illness called Lupus which yeah.. basically .. sucks. Sometimes I wonder why the ''better'' people in this world have illness's as extreme as this, whereas spoilt peeps like me, who have like .. nearly everything they want, have parents who cook for them, live in their house, and laze around and do nothing all day (ie, me) etc etc.. dont. Yeah. Life's a bitch sometimes isnt it?

 

A few days ago, I was talking to some close friends of mine about ''friendship'' which brought me to think.. I put alot of people in my life before others.. Like I just thought to myself, theres basically like, tiers of people inside my head that I'd put above others. It's weird because for about an hour and a bit I've been thinking .. I'm pretty protective to some close friends - more to one or a few who are alot younger than me, and then, my best friends who are older than me are pretty protective of me too.. But then I have friends that are younger than me who are really protective of me.. or something. I dunno.. sometimes I feel like I'm someone else's brother .. and other times I feel like I'm a boyfriend of someone.. even though both of the latter are peoples who are best friends of mine.

Actually, I just read through the last paragraph and its a load of stupid weird stuff.. I think what I'm thinking in my head, I just can't put into words at the moment.

 

Was talking a friend before.. about periods. Yes.. periods..(Don't even ask how this topic started). Obviously she was a girl but yeah.. I didn't really know how much it hurt when you were having one for some people.. and I was just thinking.. Wow. Girls have it worse than guys alot of the times: Periods, Labor pains, Pregnancy, Having a more, dare I say (dont kill me if you're a girl btw), ''fragile'' body.. Ie guys are more masculine and therefore can normally take advantage of a girl in terms of physically more 'able'. Sometimes I feel sorry for you girls , Sometimes I laugh. Or something. Nah just kidding ;). Girls can make guys do almost anything if you're smart to be honest.

 

Ie:

Guy: ''Sooooooo.. Do you like..... stuff?"
Girl: "Maybe.."
Guy: "What sort of stuff?"
Girl: "Well.. HEY I'm feeling kinda thirsty at the moment ><"
Guy: *buys drink for girl*
Guy: "Soooo What kind of .. stuff?"
Girl: "HEY wow that necklace is SOOO nice. .and pretty.. and shiny.. and .. yeah! *flutters eyelids*"
Guy: *whips out his wallet and buys necklace*
Guy: "Soo yeah, what kind of .. stuff?"
Girl: "HEY goodness that ferrari over there is soooo hot! *flutters eyelids / smiles and flashes pearly whites / flicks hair back / etc etc''
Guy: (well you get the drift by now)
Guy: "Hmm.. so what kind of ... yeah .. stuff?"
Girl: "Hey.. Um.. I've been thinking recently.. and yeah .. I think I'm just not ready .. I want to concentrate on my ..um.. my piano playing recently, and I think I just want to be friends with you''    <- The IJWTBF talk (''I  Just Want To Be Friends'')
